Product Description

Burdock is a biennial herb, 1~2 m high. Stems are erect, purplish, and much branched above. Basal leaves are cespitose, large, long-stalked; cauline leaves are broadly ovate or heart-shaped, 40-50cm long, 30-40cm wide, with microwave-like or finely toothed margins, heart-shaped base, densely white pubescent below. Heads numerous, arranged in corymbs; involucres spherical, involucral bracts lanceolate, apex with short hooks; flowers light red, all tubular. Achenes ellipsoid, angular, gray-brown, crown hairs short bristle-like. Fl. June to July, burdock fr. July to August.
