Product Description

CS is an acidic mucopolysaccharide prepared from animal tissues as a white or off-white powder; odorless; with moisture-attracting properties. The aqueous solution of CS is viscous and does not coagulate when heated. It is soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and ether, etc. Its salts are more stable to heat and are not destroyed by heat up to 80. Chondroitin sulfate aqueous solution is unstable at higher temperature or acid, mainly deacetylated or degraded into monosaccharide or polysaccharide with smaller molecular weight.
